BZ Pavillion at the Israel Elwyn

Now in our 108th year, the Bnai Zion Foundation supports humanitarian projects in the United States and Israel. The BZ Pavilion at Israel Elwyn is a Bnai Zion Foundation project.

Israel Elwyn's Supported Living Services complex in Jerusalem is home to 220 adults with intellectual and other disabilities requiring varying levels of care. In the late 1950’s the Quittman Center, named in honor of Bnai Zion’s former Executive Vice President, Herman Quittman, was built on the Israel Elwyn campus with funds generously donated by the Bnai Zion Foundation. Over the years, it has improved the residents’ quality of life and has been instrumental in providing them with greater privacy and fostering their independence.

Today, more than 50 years later, we are raising funds for the Bnai Zion Pavilion, a new residence to be built on the Israel Elwyn campus, designed for older residents who use wheelchairs or walkers and also require nursing care. The Bnai Zion Pavilion will be fully accessible to all, enabling individuals in wheelchairs to easily open and pass through doors and move more freely within and outside their apartments.  Emphasis will be placed on comfort, security and privacy. Creating a normative feeling of home in the new Bnai Zion Pavilion will be a top priority.

With your generous support we can build the Bnai Zion Pavilion and insure that all of its residents live with dignity and the comforts of home they deserve!
