A Message from
David Eisenberg, President of the Texas Region
For over 100 years, the Bnai Zion Foundation has been helping those who need it most in Israel, and fundraising is ongoing in the expanding Texas Region. In recent years, membership in the Texas Region has grown to over 400. We attribute this phenomenal growth to the exciting events we host for educational, informational and fundraising purposes.
Bnai Zion guest speakers are among the most knowledgeable and dynamic experts in their fields, providing vital information and commentary.
Each year the Texas Region honors outstanding community leaders at a spectacular gala featuring entertainment and silent auction. The region also sponsors other activities to benefits its projects that can be found on its events page. We welcome your involvement with our organization.

Update on Texas Region Events
The Dallas Brunch: Recognizing the Younger Generation
With record-breaking attendance at the May 2012 annual brunch, the Texas region honored its future Jewish leadership, presenting awards to Brett Diamond, Ben Fine, Brett Lazarus, Jodi Barris Sanchez, Shane Stein, Robin Finkelstein Stone, and Dawn Spechler Strauss.
Proceeds of the brunch (100%) were earmarked for Ahava Village for Children & Youth, focusing on its 18+ program, which affords graduates of Ahava returning from service in the IDF or National Service a place to live until they can establish themselves in the community.
The live auction at the brunch raised in excess of $50,000 for Ahava Village.
The Gala Exceeds Expectations
The evening of November 6, 2011 set all kinds of records for the Texas region of Bnai Zion. Under the chairmanship of Diane Benjamin, a vice-president of the board of the Texas region, and with the help of Virginia Shepherd co-chair, and dozens of volunteers, the attendance and funds raised at the event for the Bnai Zion Medical Center exceeded all previous amounts.
Honorees Dr. Jerry Grodin and Pastors Mike and Kathy Hayes encouraged the audience to give and not just be spectators.
Dr. Amnon Rofe, CEO of the Bnai Zion Medical Center, emphasized the life-saving work done at the hospital, and the priority of building a new protected underground emergency department.
Appreciation for helping make the Gala a success goes to Larry Strauss, Carole Wolanow, Fran & David Eisenberg and Anita Warner.
