Bnai Zion Expands Outreach in Florida
Expanding awareness of the important work we do in Israel, raising funds for our projects and expanding the southeast region board of directors is all part of the agenda of our southeast executive director Rabbi Rikki Arad. With a roster of activities over the past months, individuals from many Florida communities have become familiar with Bnai Zion and cultivating others to become new donors and active supporters remains a priority.
There is a sizeable, affluent Jewish population in Florida, from young professionals beginning their careers to active seniors, with many people in between. Heightening awareness of our work among various sectors of Florida society – not only within the Jewish community, but wherever support for Israel can be found – is essential.
We're planning a number of educational, social and fundraising events in the coming months and hope you'll take part. If you’re interested in helping Bnai Zion and would like to become active, please contact Rikki - and please check out our southeast region Facebook page.

Southeast Region Update
A Distinguished Visitor Comes to South Florida
David Baker, senior foreign press coordinator in the office of the prime minister of Israel, updates on the current situation
On June 27, David Baker presented Israel from a media perspective at a program held at Shalom Cummunity Center at the Dezer Collection Auto Museum. Many southeast region board members attended, and David gave a compelling overview of the dynamics involved in Israel's quest for peace. A lively question-and-answer session followed. David, in the States on a Bnai Zion speaking tour, was enthusiastically received. This was one of the educational speaker events that Bnai Zion sponsors from time to time.
