The BZ Russian Division hosted an afternoon gathering in honor of the organization’s hundredth anniversary on Sunday, May 18 at the Bnai Zion House. Friends and supporters enthusiastically listened to guest speakers Dr. Amnon Rofe, Director-General of the Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa, Benni Kashriel, Mayor of Ma’aleh Adumim, Dr. Oleg Liner and Boris Rabiner. The Master of Ceremonies, Boris Kiderman, a vice president of Bnai Zion, presented awards to five people in recognition of their hard work in support of BZ’s projects.
The five award recipients were Dr. Oleg Liner, president of the Russian Division; Lisa Levina and Dr. Michail Patin, both vice presidents of the Russian Division; and Friedrich Furman and Nellly Saulina, members of the Russian Division board.
Proceeds from the event were earmarked for the construction of the new underground emergency room at the Bnai Zion Medical Center, an ambitious and important project for which funds are actively being sought.
