The Pittsburgh Region is located in the pulse of the Jewish community.  We opened our doors in 1997 with seventeen dedicated Zionists  and have grown into an integral part of Pittsburgh.

Each year we honor a deserving person or persons with the Bnai Zion Humanitarian Award.  This is a wonderful way to highlight special people in our community at large.

We provide local programming on diverse topics of interest with speakers from Israel as well as from the United States.  We proudly financially support students traveling to Israel.  Our active outreach efforts to young membership and our programs of interest to them are helping to build a future generation of Israel supporters.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN PITTSBURGH THIS YEAR

We are busy getting ready for our Humanitarian Award dinner on May 15 when we honor Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg of the University of Pittsburgh.  We are pleased that part of the program there will be a video shown of Bnai Zion's 100 years of humanitarian projects.

Our Women's Israel Investment group meets every other month.

Our 30-year-old members are planning to have a movie night in a private home.

We are involved wtih our local Israel @ 60 events, and we look forward to honoring Bnai Zion's 100th anniversary in the fall with a program.

In June we'll install a new Board while honoring our old Board with an evening program.
