Helping Israel in the Mid-Atlantic region

David Gitlin, of Greenberg Traurig LLP, who received the Distinguished Humanitarian Awardfrom Bnai Zion in November, 2010 serves as the chairman of the board of the Mid-Atlantic region. He commented, “I am impressed with the work Bnai Zion is doing in Israel, particularly at the Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa, an outstanding hospital catering to the northern population. The hospital is urgently in need of funds to build a new protected emergency room, and I am hopeful that our new region will be able to contribute generously to this significant project."

Goals of the Mid-Atlantic region include promoting Bnai Zion and familiarizing the local community with the organization and its work, and raising funds for Bnai Zion projects through events and other outreach programs.

Many events are planned; please click here for details. And please take a look at the photo gallery for the Mid-Atlantic region here.

Bnai Zion Hosts Performance of Israeli Dance Company

Bnai Zion partnered with Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy to present a performance by Vertigo, the sensational Israeli dance company.

The event - held on Sunday, October 23 at the Hebrew Academy - was sold out and was a venue to promote the work of Bnai Zion and raise awareness of our organization within the Philadelphia Jewish community.
