Endeavor Group Dance Party Benefits the Medical Center
On Saturday night, January 19, the Bnai Zion Endeavor Group held its first social event in New York, a
Tu B'shvat dance party to celebrate the coming of spring in Israel. Funds raised from the party went to the Emergency Preparedness Campaign of the Bnai Zion Medical Center. Over 100 guests attended this party and everyone had a great time. Delicious Tu B'shvat samplings added a distinctive Israeli flavor and at evening's end, everyone was enthusiastically anticipating the next Endeavor event.

A dinner gathering on Thursday night, November 29 was the forum for organizing the 2008 roster of events hosted by the Endeavor Group and for selecting a group project.
New board members enjoyed an outstanding Israeli buffet and heard from Dr. Amnon Rofe, Director-General of the Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa, who spoke about the urgent need to construct a convertible underground emergency room in case of any future missile attack against the north. He emphasized the fact that the Israeli government is not providing funds for this purpose and that time is of the essence to be able to finance this design, which would make use of an existing underground parking lot and be able to transform it within minutes into a fully-equipped emergency room with one hundred beds to treat incoming wounded.
Based on the necessity of having this convertible emergency room in place, the Endeavor Group committed to raise funds to bring this $3 million project to fruition, which will be one focus of their activities in 2008. For more information about the Medical Center, please click here.

Endeavor Group Evening at the 22nd Israel Film Festival
A large crowd turned out on October 30 for the inaugural event of the Endeavor Group, a cocktail reception and screening at the 22nd Israel Film Festival in New York. The participants enjoyed a wine tasting and hot hors d’oeuvres before settling in to see Salt of the Earth, a gripping Israeli crime drama. This was the first in a series of social fundraisers planned for the winter season.
