Many employers in the computer service industry desire this certification and holders of this certification generally command higher salaries. A+ certification shows competency in troubleshooting problems in both hardware and software. This course complements the computer hardware course also offered, but is primary aimed at preparing the student for the A+ certification tests.
The course and the actual A+ certification tests are now broken down into four major groups. These are the central “essentials” test, and four optional tests of which each targets specific job types. These tests are 220-601 (IT technician), 220-603 (help desk technician), an 220-604 (depot technician).
